Galvanized roof flashing from Lowes or home Depot. Get a small roll and make your cover out of that. Use self drilling sheet metal screws about every inch and seal with RTV. A pair of tin snips a vise some wood blocks for forms and a hammer and your set. If you have to revisit the area in the future just remove the screws and run your box cutter around the sealed area and your in.
