- valhalla360NavigatorCrocs or flip flops but more importantly...RELAX!!!
You are unlikely to die a horrible death from taking a shower. If it's obviously dirty and nasty, I might reconsider that particular campground but assuming it appears to be reasonably well kept and you see them cleaning periodically, it's just not that big of a deal.
We've been full time between our boat or RV since 2007 using a wide variety of bath houses daily and as far as we can tell haven't caught anything from it.
You are probalby more at risk using your own shower as you likely don't bleach the heck out of it 2-4 times a day, so any fungi that manage to get in there have a better chance of surviving and eventually taking up residence on you. - jjson775ExplorerWe also found the FL state park showers to be very good. Our current RV has a shower but we used the CG showers for years. I personally think we should have used the shower more in our old PW Excel but my bride didn't like it. I used it a few times but she was afraid we would ruin the bathroom if we used it all the time, spraying water all over. We carried our stuff in tote bags and wore flip flops without a problem. The door hooks are a great idea, we never thought about that!
- lots2seeinmyrvExplorerWe have a plastic shower basket...like the tote basket at the grocery store with the 2 handles on it.
Keep shower-only flip flops in it with shampoo, soap and towel.
Works good for DH and we stow it in our tub. He likes the big cg shower and I use the TT shower.
Some places don't have enough hooks to hang stuff.
Works for us.
Oh yeah...if you have to make a stinky do a "courtesy flush" as you do it in any public restroom!! - bobojay5ExplorerWe use flip flops for the CG showers, keep clothes and towels off the floor. Been doing this for 20+ years with no issues.
We rarely stay in commercial CG's. Mostly COE's or state parks - MARKW8ExplorerI've used public/CG toilets for most of my 60yrs. We even had an outhouse for a while when young. Been useing the showers almost that long. Usually only showered in flip flops at the Nascar races to kick the beer cans out of the way. The people with shoes are the ones who track in the mud and sand for the rest of us. Spent 30 years in the construction trades. Had to use portables probably 40 or more percent of the time. The same goes for not having a place to wash up.
Never been sick that came from any of this. Nor co-workers that I know of.

flip flops !
The state campgrounds in Florida. are very clean 95% of the time.
the campground Hosts do a Wonderful job.
Thank you for saying so.
From a Florida Host. - loulou57ExplorerWe have shower flip flops and they also don't go in the TT until back in their bag.
I made a couple of bags to put our clothes in. We never hang them on the hooks provided. We also have another that holds our towels, shampoo etc.
We wear the least amount of clothes there, less chance of anything dropping on the floor. I made my friends (girls) robes out of 2 towels to wear to the showers.
We really prefer to use the TT shower. - rockhillmanorExplorerDitto. Ditto, on the flip flops or rubber sandals for CG showers.
AND
They are ONLY used for the showers. They come off after out of the shower building and are not worn into the MH.
Can't tell you how many CG showers I have walked into and found pee on the shower floor. :R - ChooChooMan74ExplorerI exclusively use campground showers. I wear water shoes or crocs in the shower.

If you get athlete's foot, a good cure is to pee on your feet. Not sure if someone else's pee will work, or it has to be your own. But that may be another kind of forum. Careful googling "pee on me"!
Yeah, I'd hate to google that from my work computer!
