Shower is draining very slowly

You could straighten a coathanger, put a hook on the end and put it in the drain to catch hair on the shower side of the trap. If no help try to get access to the p-trap and remove it to clean trap and drain line from trap to holding tank. many ties the hook till work without disassembly.

The drain screen should pop off with a little gentle persuasion ( screwdriver turn or pry). All the rv’s I’ve had came off .. most just snapped on but there’s all kinds of creative thinking on these rigs.??
Second you should have a inspection access to under the shower , perhaps something that looks like a vent in the base ? It’s almost impossible to work in the small space but access to the trap is why they put it there.

I found a gadget at Home Depot. It's about an 18" long strip and has little "hooks" and you run it down and the hair comes back out with it! I dragged out a huge hairball (lol)that ya coulda made a wig with!

It's called 'ZIP IT'

You can try pouring vinegar in the drain to see if it will dissolve the clog, but you'd be better off finding a way to fish out the clog instead of using chemicals. The drain grate on mine pops off with some gentle persuasion and the p-trap is accessible through a removable cover at the base of the shower pan. Just make sure to re-seal everything when you button it back up so it doesn't leak and rot the floor around it.

This must be the season for slow shower drains because we just got thru discussing this issue with another RVer. Search for `shower drain not draining much'.

Check that you air inlet valve/vacuum breaker is opening.

I had the Zip it tool but could not get it to free the clog so I made another tool by wrapping a bicycle tube around a short hose making it the some dia as the drain hole. I have someone hold it in the drain hole while I open the outside faucet and the force of water will blast the clog out. I seem to have to do this every other year especially to the shower drain. I do the other drains just for maintainance.

My Fleetwood Bounder sometimes draines slow also.I use a bottle brush on each opening of the drain. It removes all the hair and everything drains fine for two to three months and then I clean it again.

I added a cheap drain filter from the dollar store. I clean it any time some one has showered. It is quite amazing how much ended up trying to go down the drain.
