skylight over shower

I looking to replace my skylight, because of cracks in it, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a new one. I have a 06 Camelot PDQ. appreciate any info I could get.
Thanks Barry

  • Instead of buying a replacement skylight, could the old skylight be replaced with a flat piece of plastic? Does the opening need to be covered for some reason with a domed skylight?

Depends on how tall you are, I am only 5'9" and I do like the extra clearance the dome provides. Don't forget the shower usually has a step up from the floor to provide for the drain. For vertically challenged folk like DW (5'0') it would not be an issue :)
  • It doesn't necessarily have to be domed, but a dome shape would be stronger. Also you need to make sure it's all nice and sealed so you don't have leaks. On my bathroom skylight the frame is aluminum with a lip and that's what attaches to the motorhome. The lip of the dome goes over the metal lip and is attached to the lip with screws.
