We chose a Class C with one slide for the "dining/sofa" area. Its not critical but nice to have the extra space when we are parked. After looking many models and seeing how some of the bed-slides function, it became a key item on our wish list to have a permanent bed. We wanted a bed that we did not have to make up every day OR one that relied on a slide to use. That narrowed our options. Only you know what will be the most important factors, suggest you take time to figure that out. We looked and tested until we knew we had a camper for our needs.
We taken many trips and happy with our choice, will have our first go at long term camping beginning December 1. We lead a physically active life. The last thing we'd want is an issue with our bed being unusable if the slide malfunctioned. Sure, our rig has other beds for our kids/grandkids/visitors but we like the main bed.
