On my Cambria i can sleep on the bed without the slide being out, it's a few inches shorter but doable. Slide maintenance should not be a concern. There are a bunch
of other issues you could have with your MH, the slide should not be on the high list of concerns. With all the slides out there I have heard very few complaints or issues
with their operation. They require maintenance ,so does everything else. Find what works for you. Look at seats in the "C" that turn around and face the rear, it helps
getting in and out. Ford chassis are tight in the front but I like them. Go to n RV show and take your time and leave your checkbook at home.
