check around the room for a sensor that has to do with room IN position.
it may be loose or out of adjustment. ive worked on all kinds of rv's since 1967, and ive never seen a coach that will not START because of a room issue. i'm with doug there.
that makes no sense. but of course, no one ever said it had to make sense. people do very strange things sometimes. even manufacturers.
there are a lot of coaches that will not go into gear because of room sensors being out of position.
so it seems that is a direction to go in.
check around the perimeter of the wall opening, as well as under the inside of the room, behind the facia. part of it has to be mounted to something that does not move when the room does, as well as being connected to the wire harness. follow that. i know this may be simplistic, but its somewhere to start.
