Slide out maintenance
I took my RV to the Winnebago rally this summer an had some work done to one of our slides. Some points they made were as follows. We have Powergear electric slides.
1. Do not use rail lubricants (greese, protectall, etc). The slides are engineered to run without them and using them may cause problems. Just keep the rails clean.
2. To reduce the friction on slides, put a good wax on the sides of the slides. The mainenance supervisor suggested this in a seminar while a tech said don't do it.
How do you maintain your slides?
