I would consider a slide out if 1) the RV was otherwise perfect in every way :D and 2) it appears that grandchildren might be travelling with me a significant amount.
Ron, point taken about the cabover bed. The main thing I don't want in a used RV is the front window in the cabover. I can see the space being useful.
