I may be traveling with grandchildren, and the over-cab bed strikes me as a good place for them, LOL. I know they may need a fan up there for ventilation.
I agree with you, makes no sense that the Chevy chassis isn't more popular. But there are some out there.
I don't expect to be towing.
I'm more of a traveler than a camper, although I tend to go to one area and travel around there, using some central location as a base. So on that basis, the slide/no slide decision could go either way.
