The "overide" of a Powergear is a manual brake lever on the motor and has nothing to do with switch operation for your problem. You need to find the control module for the Powergear. Also, check the switch for loose wires. You can REVERSE the wires to see if that will operate the room out. If so, the switch is bad. IF you get motor or switch operation with the key on (you stated retract seemed to engage) that takes the Ign out of the loop. If you get retract with the key on then it will extend also. The Ignition system operates both ways. Doug
