Yes, lots of different things can take batteries down, like the over-the-air TV booster left on, a light in a bay, the vent fan, etc. Battery discontect switches can help with that. You really should think about getting new batteries and also getting a hydrometer so you will be able to check the battery condition accurately, esoecially if you are taking small kids with you.
