Small RVs (<26') with bunk beds?

Now that I've had my "starter" Four Winds 23RB for a year now I've started to identify what works and what doesn't. The size is great, but the layout isn't ideal. What I would love to have is something less than 26 feet overall length that sleeps 5+ and has bunk beds (or alternatively two twin beds side-by-side).

I'm trying to make a list of RVs that meet those criteria (and a couple more) so that I can be scanning dealers and classifieds. Having never seen one in person I think the Coachmen 23BB would be a strong contender, but they seem rare. There's a model of the Winnebago View with bunks, but it's even more scarce. What else should I be looking for? And I'm posting this in the Class C forum, but are there small Class As I should be looking at?

You might want to consider a Lazy Daze 24 footer. Here is the URL to see the floor plan. Sorry, I don't know how to make it a hot link.

for a link to the floor plan layout for Lazy Daze, here ya go:

The twin king and the Mid Bath can have the beds configured to be twin beds. I own a Mid Bath and real like the floor plan. When the couches are pulled together to make a King size bed there is a lot of sleeping area. The dinning table can be made into a bed to sleep someone shorter than 5'6" without blocking access to the over the cab sleeping area (for example, getting up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night).
It would be difficult to modify a Lazy Daze to add bunk beds and I doubt the factory would do that as they build to form rather than custom build.
  • Coachmen made a 25' Class C in the 2009-2011 timeframe with bunks.

It's the 23BB model in the image.

  • Lazy Daze (27') is unique in that most of the models have 2 couches (full length) which easily double as twin beds. Queen over the cab and dinette for the little one?

We have a 6" memory foam (Twin extra long) mattress on top of the couch for added comfort and it can still be used as a couch during the day.

The couches get a lot of use during the day - great for relaxing and napping.

You can find used LD on RV Trader.com with pics etc.
