One problem with a short Class A diesel would be the same as we experienced with the 30' transit coaches. Because of the relatively long overhangs on a short wheelbase, they tended to have a nasty pitching motion.
When driving city transit routes, this only affected the driver, but I think it would be a major issue on a short RV.
A few years back, we saw a 32' DP at a local dealership. At the time it was about 10 years old. We test drove it and that pitching was nauseating. In retrospect, it was as well that the seller was asking over twice NADA and wouldn't budge, otherwise we might have bought it!
This is too generalized of a statement. A lot of 30' MH's have different wheelbases and don't experience "porpoise-ing" I don't on mine. One thing for sure, I've seen quite a few of these brand new short buses so someone is buying them. We live in an area between Gettysburg and DC and tour busses galore on any given weekend day on Rt15. And recently I've seen quite a few of these. I'll try and capture the brand next time if I get close enough on the interstate. But they look like the ones from the link a few posts before.
I did a quick search for Temsa bus conversions and found a lot of info. The TS35 seems popular for conversions.
