Smoke coming out under hood Class C Majestic, What is it?

Wires on that look too small for the emergency start circuit. Probably going to need to follow those 6 wires to see where they go.

OP, when you started this rv, did you have to use the emergency start button bc the chassis was dead ? The emergency start feature allows the house battery to start the rv.

If I remember correctly, a few years ago someone told me to hold that button for the BIM system to equalize its load before you start the rv. Sometimes those BIM's can load up and become very hot if you try to start the rv too soon. BIM = Battery Isolator Manager, its a small electronic component that controls charging as well as the emergency start feature.

I don't immediately recognize this potted component, which certainly did get very toasty. It doesn't really look like a battery isolator to me. Can you tell what it connects to? And also maybe describe more precisely where it is under the hood?

Edit: it also is very unlikely to have anything to do with the AC power generator. Any potted bits associated with it would be in the generator itself, not some random block mounted external to it somewhere.

If you posted pictures I can't see them. It sounds like the battery isolator solenoid (the solenoid that energizes to charge the house battery when the rig is running), but whatever it is, it might be prudent to disconnect both batteries until you get it sorted out if you haven't already.
