- frankdampExplorerThe definition mdamerell gave was (maybe still is?) the legal definition of a vintage car in the UK. Anything later but (I think) more than 30 years old is referred to as a "Post Vintage Thoroughbred" if it is by one of what folks consider to be "thoroughbred" manufacturers.
- mdamerellExplorerAccording to the internet ;)
"A vintage car is commonly defined as a car built between the start of 1919 and the end of 1930. There is little debate about the start...
Vintage trailer appears to be about 30 years old"
Pretty much whatever you decide :) - J-RoosterExplorerWashington State has Vintage License Plates for any vehicle that's over 30 years old!
- Bob___AnnExplorerVintage is something that is always older then what that individual owns. If you are 99 years old and have your original furniture which may be 80 years old it is not antique, it is your current furniture.
- CG_DawsonExplorerI would think vintage would be the very early models of any product. Vintage and antique is not necessarily the same. Just my two cents worth.
- the_bear_IIExplorerMost ads you see in the collector car section seems to be 1970's and older are considered as vintage by some sellers. For cars I would go to the 20s & 30s.
To me it would be first generation MHs....50s and 60s. Most were built on truck chassis some of the brands were Winnebago, Open Road, Sportscoach, Cortez... - loulou57Explorer

Dangerous topic. No matter what anyone says - its sure to tic-off someone else.
For example: Would you categorize your wife as "vintage" or ......???
LOL.....When I was married for the second time (old age of 30), my hubby referred to me as a "vintage, born again virgin", LOL That was 23 years ago. He is a bit younger. Also he thinks anything over 25 years old is vintage. :B - wny_pat1ExplorerAny motorhome can be a vintage motorhome, if one desires it to be.
- Dale_TravelingExplorer IIWhen I no long have to pay personal property tax or yearly plate fees.
- sowegoExplorerI don't know such criteria exist...just matters of opinion. But it used to be anything older than 25 years old was at least considered "classic" or bordering on antique.
If all that is true...heck everything we own on the ranch falls into all of those catagories. Our newest tractor is a 1959, my woodburning kitchen stove was made in the 1800's, my electric range (a Frigidaire Flair) is from the 1960s, the Hoosier is...don't even know, and even the kitchen sink is 1940s. And then there are the cars and trucks ranging in age from the 1950s-1970s.
Heck everything gets old but many times the old stuff lasts the longest! So if you find an early model motorhome that is called "vintage" it may be a great one or could be a piece of junk, depends on how it was maintained.
Our MH is now over 11 so I wonder how long before it will be considered vintage since it was the 1st year Tiffin made the Phaeton?!
