Depends on where/how the solar panels/controller are wired into the 12 VDC system.
Sure, if wired directly to the battery, use the disconnect. But many are wired to the nearest large-gauge wire to where the solar wiring goes down into the coach.
In a word, VERIFY how yours is wired.
FormerBoater has it right. That's the way Fleetwood has been doing it for many years and the OP is driving a Fleetwood product.
