Solar panels to keep coach batteries charged over winter

I saw a setup where you drill a hole in the side of your trailer next to your batteries and install a 12v connector of some sort. Then your panel can plug directly into that and charge the batteries. Just unplug when you want to move. I saw another ad the other day for a solar setup that was only intended to maintain the batteries. So, they are out there.
