Somedays just work out..
I have owned this old 1990 Mallard for like, five years now. The generator has always been fussy to start and occasionally just refuses. I have had it tuned and done it myself. Today I wondered, what if I hold the throttle open slightly while hitting the start button. Fired up immediately. Took me five years to figure that one out. Once it has run it will start right back up for the next day or so. Once it has set for two weeks it gets funny about starting.
Then, I developed a roof leak that I messed with and messed with and couldn't get it stopped during hard rains. I looked at the roof and it looked great. Then I decided to check under the bathroom vent cover and there it was plain as day. The water was coming in there and running down to give the illusion that the leak was somewhere else. Cut the bad out and recoated it. I'll add another coat tomorrow and put the vent cover back and be in good shape.
My intention today was just to take the RV for a drive and test the surge brakes for the toad but, just turned out to be a good day all around.
