- Roger_in_VERMONExplorerMy wife and I have stayed at many Maine RV parks. Our favorite that we have been going to for years is Bayleys. Book one of the big rig sites. Very close to the best beach in Maine. Pine Points beach. Only 15 minutes from Portland. You will not be disappointed
- FCExplorerWhen we are in the area we stay at Bayleys. Its an RV resort style. Pretty hard to beat for facilities.
I believe the last two weeks of July are the Quebec construction holiday so must reserve very early for that period.
JM2CW - Waco_KidExplorerCheck out Sandy Shores, They advertise monthly rentals, but some will do weekly rentals......Brue
- Rick_JayExplorer IIHi,
Another vote for Libby's Oceanside Camp in York, ME if you can get in during the season. It will probably be one of the most expensive places you have ever camped, rivaling Disney World's Fort Wilderness, but it is worth it. As they say in real estate....location, location, location. :)
Two towns north we've stayed at Sea-Vu Campground in Wells, ME. It's much further from the beach, and doesn't have quite the "view" it's name would imply, but still a nice, family run campground.
Generally, we stay at Sea=Vu during the summer and catch Libby's at the end of the season in October when we get up to Maine.
The town of Ogunquit is in between Libby's and Sea-Vu. Plenty of great restaurants in all of the towns. When in the area, make sure yo walk the Marginal Way in Ogunquit.
Have a great trip.
~Rick - GreydennyhawkExplorerWe were at Libbys Oceanside campgrounds in York beach, ME last June! Had an oceanfront site which was great, but a bit narrow. The beach is directly next door! Nice clean campground, with laundry, firewood, ice cream in the office, Keurig machine and great hosts
