I would agree to carrying a tire, but not necessarily mounted and inflated, just so when you are in the middle of nowhere, the repair service doesn't show up with a slightly different sized 8 year old tire they had laying around and want a fortune for.
on my winnie the dealer pointed out that it came with a spare but with no jack. there was a reason for no jack.
