OK so you get the tire guy to help you put it up on the roof rack..but now that you have a flat half way to nowhere, how you going to get it down. My luck, it would land right in the middle of my jeep hood.
Lifting the tire on to the roof would be a little tough. I keep mine in the basement and it is not a problem to get out or to stow. As far as the torque to tighten or loosen the lugs, this is the system I use. I carry a 4' length of pipe and slip it over my 3/4" breaker bar. If necessary I can stand on the end of the pipe and have been able to loosen any lug on my coach, even those installed by overzealous "mechanics". My install torque is 475 ft. pounds which is easily obtainable for most people of average strength. If you think you need more than this, carry a longer piece of pipe.
