Thank you one and all for your input. I will be calling Southwest wheels on Monday. I tried the local salvage yard without success, that was recommended by the Ford Dealer (who by the way wanted $417 just for the wheel). I just don't want to find myself with a blown/non repairable tire in the middle of now where paying who knows what for a replacement. For the record I will be signing up with Coach Net before we take off on the big trip in a couple of weeks.
I run the LT 225/75 R16's at 65 PSI but would not hesitate to pump them up to the max of 80 if we were loaded sufficiently to warrant doing so. Based upon our trailer experience we usually load between 1,000 and 1500# and that probably won't change. With 2500+ # of payload available we should be fine.
I will be adding valve stem extensions to make airing up easier. Several folks have told me that there is no need to rebalance after doing so but I remain a tad skeptical as the extensions must weigh several ounces. :h Any thoughts on rebalancing? Additionally I will be installing my Tire Trakker TPMS sensors to the 4 rear wheels, I 'll have to order two more for the front. Our initial shakedown run with the new rig will be on Sunday and we can't wait to enter the realm of Motor Coaching. Fools Hollow Lake for a couple of days and then out and up to the Mogollon Rim to Canyon Point (7,700'). :C
