A spare tire is like insurance...you only need it when you need it. That said, I carry insurance, a credit card and CoachNet. I've never carried a spare, have only had three flats in 50+ years of RVing and never had a problem finding a replacement for the 22.5s. Your rig, most likely has 19 inchers which are plentiful. A 22.5 tire weighs several hundred pounds. That's a lot of camping gear....just sayin...it's an individual thing....Dennis
