Thank you, thank you. I was able to return to "square one" on diagnosing the overcharging alternator problem, by following your instructions on how to try disconnecting the chassis battery, etc. All the dashboard lights returned to normal, the engine started, everything fine except for my original alternator problem (showing constant 15 volt charge rate).
I will treasure this "nugget" of information that you gave me. NONE of my Spartan, nor Newmar manuals had any of this information. Not even anything about the little red warning light in every round gauge. This info will make me feel a lot more secure regarding getting stranded somewhere,....which has never happened with this Dutch Star. Thanks again.
