As Escargot mentioned, the earlier Sprinters had a plastic turbo resonator that often cracked, put the engine into Limp Home Mode, and had to be replaced under warranty. Many such Sprinter owners eventually bought a metal version online and installed it, easy fix and not costly. Cheap peace of mind.
