Sprinter Dash Mat

I just looked at IVan, sitting out in the hot So Cal sun. I think he could benefit from a nice protective dash mat.

I'm looking for good fit and coverage -- anybody have a suggestion?

Carpet or velour? Other choices and pointers?

As always, thanks.

  • We have a PW Lexor. I added a carpet dash mat last year.

    Several advantages.
There are now never any reflections from the dash - i.e., sun, etc.
Things like the GPS don't slide around anymore.
I also think it is a wee bit quieter inside, likely nothing more than "covering" some of the hard surface.
The dash is not as "hot" on a sunny summer day.

    One disadvantage.
I had to pay for it. But, not a lot. About $30 as I recall.

Though they are happy to "monogram" or otherwise "label" one's purchase, we said fooey to all that. Just carpet.

Though they provide velcro strips to secure the underside of the mat to one's dash, we don't use 'em. Makes taking it out for a shake, or whatever easy as pie. And it stays in place without 'em.

Look at www.dashmat.com. We chose the "original". While we "looked" at dashmat.com, we bought it from Amazon. Ya' know the freight, tax and lower price.

    Cheers.
