Shawdirect launched a new satellite that will only broadcast within Canada (all HD). They still have their two original so technically you will receive the same as last year. The kicker is that if your LNB on your motor home is different than the one at home and you haven't been using it you will need a receiver refresh. They will then inform you that you have to set up a second account and they will charge you 50% more based on your current fee. This is only if you were part of the Home Away from Home. If you weren't then it's 75% more. If the LNB's are the same don't tell them that it's attached to your motor home. Tell them it's the dish at home and they'll refresh it. They can't tell where you're receiving the signal even though they insist they can. If you're in the US and you need assistance don't tell them where you are - say you're at home because they will not support you while you're in the US. If they find you are in the US they will basically hangup on you. It seems that they recruited an executive from Bell in the spring and this is the result. I went with Shaw last year because then insisted they wouldn't treat their customers the way that Bell did - I guess money talks. I'll be switching the home back to Rogers next month and will deal with satellite service from a provider in the US.
