Re: Seacliff State Beach. I was in Santa Cruz about a week and a half ago. The beach parks were closed due to storm damage. Not sure how long they expected it to last. More storms coming in. Highway 17 has been closed three times already this year due to weather (slides), and once for an elusive bank robber who was eventually caught the next day. The cement ship has broken apart. As of yesterday afternoon, I understand that the San Lorenzo River was within ten feet of flooding.
Sure hope it cleans up soon. We saw campers headed in to try to use the campgrounds, but they were being turned away.
