The problem with staying at campgrounds is that there are seldom any in the area where you need to stop. Good idea if you can plan ahead and make reservations, but a lot of us don't have the wherwithall to do that. We just have to do the best we can with what we have. 24-hour Walmarts are OK, but always go inside and ask first. Likewise, Cracker Barrels, and some truck stops. Pay attention to parking lot etiquette.
