We never have yet, BUT....
Our typical trips have been "on vacation". I drive 300 miles, and then try to find a nice nearby campground, and pay the price.
I have previously looked down at "wallydocking"
As I look forward to our soon to be fulltime lifestyle, I see the need to camp for free, and the thought of "overnighting" for free while enroute might be a good thing sometimes. Like 2 weeks boondocking in a BLM site could be a lot of fun, a few nights of 300 mile days "wallydocking" for free couldn't possibly be bad.
