We take a two week trip in the spring and one in the fall. On the departure day for a long trip we leave after work (evening) and drive maybe 150-200 miles. We bunk that night at a WM all other nights are at CG's so for us it's two nights a year. If I was retired and not on a schedule I would probably not ever stay at a WM.
You might change your mind if full timing on a budget unless you are independently wealthy. One night at a Walmart is several nights groceries at an average of $35/night for campgrounds.
