I have a Blue Ox Tru Center sitting on my work bench for over a month while waiting for the back ordered bracket that is suppose to be on on July 15th.
I've had that same one for about 80,000 miles. It is adjustable on the fly and it does make things a little easier to keep things going straight. I doubt if it will help much in the event of a front tire blow out since the power steering is much more powerful than the shock absorber on the steering stabilizer. This is assuming that you have your hands on the wheel.
The only problem I have experienced is when trying to set it up while driving down the road. As soon as you hit the button to disengage it, the vehicle tends to veer off to one side or the other. Not a lot but it does need correction to stay in the lane. Then you go through sort of a trial and error until you finally hit the spot where it tracks straight down the road. Once you get it set right, I doubt if you will adjust it very often.
