My son (Ford master mechanic) just changed my tires and after inspecting the old ones (on for about 30k miles), he said that the steering seems to be adjusted perfectly.
The problem with steer safe is the fact that it tries to create a on center feeling. But there is still a lot of play until the springs are loaded enough to pull the steering back to center. - mike_brezExplorer

I had a steer safe on my other rig. I installed a blue ox tru center on this one. I like it because I can adjust it on the fly for wind and road crown.
Is the Blue Ox unit much better?
Sorry just saw this. I like the blue ox much better. I also really hated the noisey spring noise while traveling slow going through campground. The abality to adjust while driving is the cats meow. - db7512ExplorerI had the Roadmaster installed on my MH. Have your front end alignment done first.
- fortytwoExplorerI have a Safe-T-Steer on my 2014 F53. It's a nightmare to get centered correctly. Have been adjusting it for the last 3,000 miles.
Had one on my 2000 F53. Same problem adjusting. It does improve the wandering tendency of the F53 chassis a lot. On my 2000 the hands off time before I drifted out of lane was improved from 5 seconds to over 30. Think the new one will be almost as good, when I finally get the **** thing centered. New rig has shorter wheelbase ratio so will never be as stable. - HudsonerExplorer
