Yes the technology is there but it comes at a cost. THose that require internet for business reason must pay for it just like any other business expense.
I imagine if wireless rates were equal to wired rates the demand would skyrocket.
There is limited wireless bandwidth available using our current technology.
This limited bandwidth is sold accordingly to deliberately limit its use to only those that truly need and can afford the service.
Until there are major advances in technology/bandwidth you will not see this business model change.
We have the technology to build the Telsa (electric sportscar) but it is not affordable to everyone. Only a privileged few can actually afford one.
Until the technology advances the Telsa will be a for the wealthy.
Currently streaming wirelessly is simply not affordable due to the lack of bandwidth and technology to accommodate everyone.
Those who can afford the technology pay without question those who can't do without or make the most of the alternatives.
