We have an '04 diesel pusher. We are full timers. We have over 125,000 miles on it. We only had three trips where we had to have a repair done during the trip. Back wheel bearing, new AC and new refrigerator. The rest of the repairs and maintenance we have done when we are at our home base for our doctor appointments every 6 months. If you find a good rig that has been well maintained you should be able to do most maintenance and spot preventive maintenance issues beforehand. There are failures in all types of rigs. The trick is to be prepared if something happens, like having roadside assistance that covers the RV and the toad.
