Surge Protector
Is there a need for a Power Surge Protector? If so what is the one most RVer's recommend ?

I have 30 amp hardwired progressive. It hurt to buy it but when you read about how much damage can be done I felt I had to buy one. Search RV improper wiring of things like pedestals where ELECTRICIANS wire them wrong and do thousand of dollars of damage.
It's good to read and familiarizing yourself with everything from simple corrosion of the plug end causing lost grounds or open neutral or shooting 240 volts through an appliance on a 50 amp rig.
People have died from "hot skin" problems. RVs have their quirkey, expensive and dangerous side. The cord is plugged in over and over, it's in a wet/damp poor environment, the pedestals are worked on by incompetent people. Cord terminals should be kept clean, test pedestals, check RV for hot skin. Kids and pets are more easily killed by hot skin.
