tag axle

I just bought a 94 newmar motorhome with a tag axle..I don't know how it works or when to use it. Can anyone help me? Thanks

    Iy works all the time, just like a regular axel, only it is not powered. It increases the load capacity and has a set of brakes. Brakes and bearings are the only service needed.

    You also may have a switch for the tag dump, which is used during sharp turns.
