Tailgater satellite--pros and cons in various campgrounds

My roof top KVH in motion sat quit working last Jan. KVH said that's too bad it's now obsolete. I used my direct tv dish and tripod for 2 months while in Calif for the winter. Took about 20 min to find signal. I guess I will be looking @ something else that is automatic in the future. I don't want to carry any more than necessary in the MH storage so I guess I will go with a roof top replacement.
