If you look at the picture that is with the video, it clearly shows the front end of the vehicle with the base plate that attaches to the tow bar. The video says that this was recovered TWO miles down the highway.
Something is just not adding up. If the front end was jerked off of the vehicle, it should have remained attached to the tow bar and not been free to bounce down the highway.
The car would be free but the front bumper and base plate would have stayed with the RV.
Another scenario is that if the tow bar pins came disconnected and the jerk on the safety chains yanked the front end off of the car. The base plate then came loose from the safety chains and was left on the highway.
