Tank valves on Winnebago

Question

2008 Winnebago Outlook 29BThe black tank valve on my unit fells as though it needs to be replaced. On this unit the black and grey tanks are setup in a Y configuration. When I attempted to remove the black valve there didn't seem to be enough space to remove the valve without disassembling the entire Y setup. Before I go any further I was wondering if any one has done this and if it is possible to remove just the one valve?Thanks

I would think you can remove the four bolts on the offending valve and slide it out.

I just did it.  The difficult part is fitting the new valve in without moving the gaskets.  On mine, there was just enough play in the "Y" and grey side to make it all work.

If you look past the valve and follow the pipe towards the tanks (both black and grey) you should see a rubber coupling held on with hose clamps on both sides..  If you undo the clamps you can remove the complete Y assembly to work on it
