Tank valves on Winnebago

2008 Winnebago Outlook 29B

The black tank valve on my unit fells as though it needs to be replaced. On this unit the black and grey tanks are setup in a Y configuration. When I attempted to remove the black valve there didn't seem to be enough space to remove the valve without disassembling the entire Y setup. Before I go any further I was wondering if any one has done this and if it is possible to remove just the one valve?

Thanks

  • If you look past the valve and follow the pipe towards the tanks (both black and grey) you should see a rubber coupling held on with hose clamps on both sides.. If you undo the clamps you can remove the complete Y assembly to work on it
  • I just did it. The difficult part is fitting the new valve in without moving the gaskets. On mine, there was just enough play in the "Y" and grey side to make it all work.

    X2
They all have four bolts that you take out and you can pull the valve blade right out.
