Gee. I've only taken one 'copter ride,, it was not as you describe at all. Also played ATC (Well approach control) for that same 'coptor when the radio failed so the only radio that worked was one that talked to me.. Got him his green light to land on the green (Grassy area near his hanger). That was the 2nd time I had to get a pilot a green light for landing.
