Remember the Heuy's and Cobra of the Vietnam era they had only 2 blades and really vibrated and were load, the S58 had 4 blades, the newer models like the 53E, and 53K had 6 blades and were much quieter with less vibration. More blades equal less vibration.
Helicopters don't lift off, they beat off.
