- JTHarleyExplorerOne thing I've learned in my 10 years and owning 6 different RV's from various manufacturers is that ANY company can build or put out a poor quality motorhome. That being said, this is one purchase where the old adage "you get what you pay for" holds true in my opinion. Motorhomes range from $85K to well over 1.5 million......My first RV was a small class B gulfstream. Drove fine but the workmanship wasn't all that great. I also owned a top of the line Winnebago Vectra...I loved it and it was surely built better than my gulfstream but it too had issues. I now own a $500K + truck conversion.....fit and finish is great, drives like a charm but it too had some issues although much fewer and easy to fix. I've got a friend that bought a 2009 Prevost with a sticker price of 1.4 million new (he paid $650K) and he has been chasing an electrical problem for months.
The key to me is the service after the sale and that has alot to do with the dealer. I will say that Winnebago stood behind their product even after the warranty ran out.
Bottom line is that you will most likely find very happy owners and very unhappy owners with EVERY brand of motorhome. - shaneperchExplorerWell how do I like it, that a Prevost a Foretravel ETC is better than my HR? I DEAL WITH IT!!!!!! get over yourself. And who cares how long I have been on a forum?? I have owned buses or a motorhome since I was 29. And furthermore I am sure that there is "the cheapest terribly built rv out there.

LOOK I was JUST TRYING TO HONESTLY learn from the experts on here. I am beginning to get warm under the collar. Why in God's name is this question so damn bad!!???? honestly?? I mean people bought Hugos and older fiats, but it don't make them stupid or inferior to someone that bought a Lamborghini!!! For Heaven's sake I am not going to meter every thing I ask please!! I can see this negative attitude if I asked an off color question or smut or immoral content or off topic. The facts are that some rigs are not as good as others. If I trade up I wanted to know what to stay away from. I can ask a question on audio forums about the worse stereos that were made or the worse models. People don't mind sharing their experiences, I owned a Yorx and a sounddesign when I was a kid, Now I own a McIntosh, wanted one for 20 years, no one ever received a nasty response on audio forums when someone asked about what is junk. here I get negative posts. why is it different with motorhomes versus stereo gear???? Am I missing something?? Not mad just getting a little perturbed with a couple of responses. I am not offended that a Prevost is much better then my old Holiday Rambler IT IS REALITY I am grateful for what I have. Someday I hope to have a Prevost just like 20 years ago I wanted a McIntosh stereo. I truly enjoyed my Yorx and wasn't offended that my friend's father's Pioneer with the Klipschorns kicked it's rear end Just as I truly enjoy my Holiday Rambler probably as much as that rich Prevost owner.
How you ask the question makes the world of difference on any forum. When you ask question about a make, model or type of fuel there is a high chance that there are going to be some ruffled feathers. You asked about the "worst" when what you want to know is what units are good. Your glass was half empty from the beginning. - C_SLExplorer

No not really, I have never owned a 1982 Holiday Rambler. I just did not like the OP downing a RV that someone on this forum may own.
X 2 A very POOR question!!
VERY POOR RESPONSE
Call it what you want, for only joining this form on 03/25/2013.
How would you like it if you owned the RV that is listed " most cheapest terribly built RV out there? "
I would not put down anybody else's RV the way the question was written. - shaneperchExplorerLOOK I was JUST TRYING TO HONESTLY learn from the experts on here. VERY POOR RESPONSE - chuckftboyExplorerWorst/best? apples/oranges? Maybe a better comparison would be what is the worst $100,000.00 coach or the worst $300,000.00 coach? Obviously $85,000.00 coach wouldn't have the quality of a $500,000.00 coach.

X 2 A very POOR question!! - GT6_RacerExplorerWorst we've owned: 2002 Forest River Reflection. Why? Wheelbase too short causing inferior handling, flimsy sidewall construction with lot's of flexing (one windshield popped while driving...), cheapo rubber roof, wiring was a mess from the factory. Nothing labeled, typical rats nest effect.
Best we've owned: 2002 Winnebago Journey DL. Exact opposite of the Forest River... Proper chassis for the size, super strong structure, immaculate build including wires all bundled and labeled properly. Great factory support.
Currently own: 2003 Jayco Avatar. Far better than the Forest River, but not really up to the high standards of Winnebago.
Notable mention: A couple of Fleetwood Bounders we rented prior to purchasing our own coach. Both had relatively high mileage, were "well used", but in very good condition. Cabinetry was holding up very well, chassis seemed stout. In all quite decent coach's, even though they were gas powered..
