Y'know, after thinking about it, perhaps the OP is right!
I know when I was living in motels and eating in restaurants almost all summer, every summer, for 8 years, it got to the point where ALL motels were the same: You got a bed, a bathroom, a television set, and a phone. It didn't matter if you paid $36 a night or $75 a night (government rate), it was the same.
Restaurants, the same thing. They almost all had the same stuff on the menu, and it all tasted the same. At least, the ones a paycheck-to-paycheck wage earner could afford.
So, yeah, perhaps the OP is right.
