Thinking about replacing my toilet, need suggestions

This is in my Allegro Bus.

I have a low profile Thetford Aqua Magic IV toilet (two pedal foot flush). It's old, stained and has a small leak somewhere in the water valve. It works great other than the single drip of water every few minutes.

I'm sure I could get a new valve and replace it easily but instead of spending the money on the old one, I was thinking about replacing the whole thing. The new valve is a little less than 1/2 the cost of a new toilet. They aren't very expensive from what I've seen on line and it would look a lot nicer.

I'm open for suggestions for a good working toilet if any of you have. If I change it out, I'll probably stick with a plastic one.

  • We've been very pleased with our porcelain bowl Thetford Aqua Magic Style Plus. We like it so well that when we bought a newer coach, we swapped the plastic toilet that came in it with the Style Plus in our older coach.
  • I was worried about extra weight but I see the China bowl Dometic 310 only weighs about 33 lbs. and the 320 is 48 lbs.

I can't find the difference between the Dometic 310 and the 320 unless the 320 has the elongated bowl and the 310 doesn't.
  • I like the Dometic with the residential size elongated bowl and higher porcelain bowl. It has the foot flush.
  • I have had both and strongly prefer the elongated chair height China foot flush toilet.
  • I've owned both hand flush and foot flush. I really don't have a preference. They both work fine. Just make sure you get a porcelain bowl.

Not sure I've ever seen that.. except in a house.

My Microphore toilet is hand flush.

  • Deep-six the plastic and get a real china one. Dometic makes some good ones.
