You might want to consider cutting your 45' length down a little for what you're planning to do - like friends homes, boondocking and national parks. We're able to do all of that easily with our 40' but we wouldn't want to go bigger.
RE: electric at friends' homes - yes, you might have to sometimes think ahead and shuffle load issues, such as choosing between a toaster or a hair dryer or the microwave. However, it can be done easily. You'll soon get the hang of it. As far as air conditioners, most of the areas of the states you mentioned for summer are 'cool' areas where you wouldn't need to run all of your air conditioners if you don't have sufficient electric power. Sometimes running just one is plenty and at night you wouldn't need any. If staying in RV parks, most nowdays do have 50Amp.
Also, you could consider installing solar and adding more batteries for your boondocking. We wouldn't be without it! Our first choice is always a public park or boondocking and they typically don't have electric. Solar quietly generates our electric power for when we need it. You'll learn to conserve. Like you, during the summer, we do stay in cool places and air conditioning isn't needed. In winter we use a catalytic propane heater so we don't have to run our furnace. You can even boondock with solar and still run a residential refrigerator if you have enough battery units.
So any of your concerns can be solved. It truly is a different lifestyle and will require some adjusting but it's doable. Best of luck to you.
