You are very brave and that will serve you well as you are willing to tackle the unknown. I am not full-time but spend a lot of continuous time in motorhome. Have friends who full-time. I think for what you describe you are looking at a coach that is too large. 40 ft may exceed what is wise. When parking at residence a few feet can make a difference of being in the driveway or a campground. For me and many I know slides are critical to comfort. Three minimum unless you have full wall. Having slides in living area on both sides of the coach really open things up. A bedroom slide is nice as it let's you maximize space by running bed ar right angles to the coach. As a full-timer you will probably not drive large chunks of mileage in a short period. You will take your time and setup for a number of days and when you find places you like it will be weeks and months. That just means living space while parked will be more important than driving. Find your floor plan first. You should drive both gas and diesel pusher. You might be surprised at what you prefer. You need to determine your toad. If you are going to drive a truck with a golf cart or toy in the bed then weight means a DP. If car under 5,000 then a gas is still fine. I think full-timers like washer/dryer so that is important. You will never winterize so simplicity there doesn't matter. Some folks think that extra half bath is really important. Others like recliner space. Some like dinettes and others table and chairs. Some are fine with two couches facing each other. For half of what you are planning on spending you can get a 36-38 ft high end gas with lots of slide out space. They might squeeze into that driveway and you can run on air conditioner off their house power. Now on the other end you can get a great large coach with macerators and aqua heat and power everything including the toilet. If you are handy and don't mind studying and playing with those things then it may be for you. You have a long way to go before you embark on your adventure. Example was your not thinking about the difference between plugging in at a residence v campground. Take your time and shop a lot. Rent something as large as you can and spend a few weeks on the road. You can learn a lot in a campground.
