Getting down to brands.....We previously owned a Monaco Diplomat and it was a great choice. Unfortunately, they're not available anymore. When we began searching for a new coach, we pretty quickly narrowed down our search to a Tiffin Allegro Bus or a Newmar Dutch Star. We actually liked a couple of the American Tradition coaches, but they're hard to find a dealer or even see one.
Your budget will allow you to buy new. Many will say that you should buy used because it's a better investment and the bugs have been worked out. Personally, I like to buy new and get the coach I want and not settle for something close. Since I've purchased my Dutch Star I've learned that Newmar will custom build just about anything into a coach as long as you don't try to change the mechanical stuff like engine size. They'll put windows where you want them, make it all electric, customize the interior color choices etc. For someone who plans to live in it full time, I would surely like the ability to build it the way I would want it.
