Thanks OhhWell,
The links to the TAG information was very helpful and I think is finely sinking in. I take it from your comment that Thor is not on the top of your list. Have you not had good luck with them?
One thing that has surprised me is how difficult it is to find motorhome reviews. I can go on line and get all kinds of reviews for automobiles even side-by-side reviews of Chevy, Ford and Chrysler. This does not seem to be the case with motorhomes. I'd sure like to know what manufactureres are top rated and those that aren't. One thing that is of great importance to me is sound deadiining material. I don't want to hear my neighbors anymore than I want them to hear me. I would imagine a motorhome that treats sound well may also handle insulation for hot/cold just as well.
I recently bought a subscription to "MotorHome" and I hope they will help me pick out the good from the not so good. But if you guys know of places I can go to find out about the different motorhome manufactures from professional industry folks and/or reviews by owners of the motorhomes I'd sure like to know about it!
And sowego, you are obviously right about the GPS/weather information. Checking out something like the weather channel in advance of the trip would be the way to handle it. Its like you said, sitting there with a map of cities/counties is a real ham & egg way of doing it.
Thanks guys, everyone who has participated in the thread have been top drawer!
